The 2010 remake of the 1941 classic keeps the plotline with the original of the same name.
Following the disappearance of his brother -Laurence Talbot (Benicio del Toro) is pulled back to his aristocratic family estate and reunited with his distant father (Anthony Hopkins). For decades Talbot had stayed away, trying to forget his tragic past that made his childhood take a turn as his mother passed away. But when his brother’s fiancée Gwen Conliffe finds him and urges him to find her love, he decides to help and go back to his childhood home. He finds out that there is some kind of a creature with an unquenchable thirst for blood that has been killing in the village. He meets the suspicious inspector that had been sent by the Scotland Yard to investigate this animal which in the mean while turns out to be a werewolf. Soon enough Talbot falls in love with Gwen, but she is mortal danger, and in order for him to protect her he must venture in to the woods and destroy the beast before it gets to her, taking the risk that the curse might pass on to him…
