“Cop Out”

Kevin Smith’s new film starring Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan (Saturday Night Live, Rock 30) as two longtime partners in the NYPD who find themselves in a situation they were not ready for. Jimmy’s (Willis) daughter is about to get married and he is counting on a rare well-kept baseball card to pay for her wedding, but one day the card is stolen. Together with his partner Paul (Morgan) they try and find the missing piece. The problem with Paul is that he suspects his wife for having an affair, so it’s hard for to keep track with what’s going on, obviously a piece of information that yields many comic situations. Adding the fact that the two find themselves having to deal with merciless gangsters and laundered money and rescuing a lady on the way and you’ve got yourself another Kevin Smith kind of comedy.
