Paul Greengrass And Matt Damon Go Baghdad In Action Thriller “Green Zone”
“Green Zone”
The Green Zone is the common name for the International Zone in Baghdad, Iraq and was the center of the Coalition Provisional Authority and remains the center of the international presence in the city.
Matt Damon and Paul Greengrass re-cooperate in the new action thriller based on the book Imperial Life In The Emerald City by Rajiv Chandrasekaran.
The story of Chief Warrant Officer Roy Miller (Damon) who is sent on a mission to find mass destruction weapon before the war escalates in a volatile place. Miller stops taking orders as he finds out that intelligence being the base for the mass destruction weapon premise is contradictory. Interestingly the focus on war in the movie is more on the one held between the CIA and the Pentagon as it unfolds the other side of the facts that are known to be less popular- the way the faulty premise was used as an excuse for the Iraq invasion.
Cast: Greg Kinnear (Flash Of Genius), Jason Isaacs (Harry Potter And The Deadly Hollows: Part II), Brendan Gleeson (The Secret Of Kells), Amy Ryan (The Missing Person), Said Faraj (Hired Gun), Michael O’Neill, Antoni Corone, Yigal Naor, Raad Rawi, Khalid Abdalla, Lewis Alsamari, Paul Karsko
