There’s still plenty of time left to head to the Irvine Park Railroad in Orange County to visit the Pumpkin Patch and enjoy the great kids’ activities. Â Now is a great time to plan a family outing or picnic at the Park, while the weather’s cool and it really feels like Fall.
If it’s storming, you may want to call ahead; otherwise, the Irvine Park Railroad Pumpkin Patch
will be open 7 days a week. Â The Park number is (714)997-3968.Â From 10am to 5pm on weekdays, and 10am to 6pm on weekends, families are welcome to visit the park. Â The county of Orange charges a $4 fee for parking, but admission to the Pumpkin Patch is free. Â Pumpkins of all shapes, sizes, and in several different colors are for sale, and priced according to size and color.
Kids and parents will enjoy the other activities available; some are free, such as the hay bale maze, the haunted house, and funny Halloween picture figure boards, and others require tickets, which are available for purchase. Â Tickets are $4 apiece, or you can purchase a book of 15 for $45. Â You can redeem tickets for train rides, a 20 minute hay ride through the park pulled by a John Deere
tractor, face painting, moon bounces, panning for gold, and more.

Refreshments are available at the concession stand, and pony rides are $4. You can guess the weight of the giant pumpkin for free if you have an email address. Â The winning guess wins the giant pumpkin! Â School and group tours are available. Â If you still haven’t been to the Pumpkin Patch, keep in mind that weekends are extremely busy there, and parking can be difficult to find; you may have to walk a short distance to reach the Pumpkin Patch.
