Ray’s Rant: Full Blown Chaos Frontman Honors Our Vets
Here we go….
First and foremost, I would like to thank Gun Shy Assassin for allowing me to evacuate the contents of my mind and speak openly on whatever I feel like ranting about. There is nothing more therapeutic than draining my brain — i.e.; writing.
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of playing a show in Jacksonville, North Carolina — home to one of the largest Marine Corps bases in the United States: Camp Lejeune. It also happened to be The Marine Corps’ Birthday. It was an absolute honor to be able to validate my appreciation to every Marine that came through the doors of the venue. Knowing that we were surrounded by such great individuals made for an amazing night.
Sharing stories of past events, shows and their experiences overseas is definitely one of the things I love most about being on the road and being in a band. Being able to contribute something of value to their tremendous worth was a privilege.
Today is Veterans Day and we will be in Fayetteville, North Carolina: home to Ft. Bragg and Pope Air Force Base. We will be honoring our vets in full. Everyone should take time out to reflect on the tremendous deeds preformed by our military in the past, that shaped our way of life today. Their sacrifice and dedication alone is deserving of worlds of respect and admiration. Having family in the military and many friends that serve, I am truly grateful for their service to America and to us all.
Happy Veterans Day. Take time out to reflect, everyone. Show respect and give regard where it is due today and every day.
More to come….
