Lamb Of God Return Home, Randy-less; Video Of Stage Incident Surfaces
Blythe was taken into custody in Prague on Wednesday, for his alleged connection to the death of a fan in 2010. Video said to depict what happened between Blythe and the 19-year-old fan (who reportedly died two weeks after the show) follows at the bottom of this post.
To me, it seems Randy wasn’t the only one pushing the fan off the stage. There seems to be some other guy there. But, do I think this video looks bad? Yeah, it looks bad. That’s all I’m going to say for now.
Today on Twitter, guitarist Mark Morton Tweeted: “Finally HOME! 4/5 of us anyway. I can’t wait to give Randy a big bear hug and kiss his pointy, stubbly face! Thanx for all the support y’all! Flooded with questions about Randy. I truly understand and appreciate [your] concern. But it would be irresponsible for me to comment on any of it. Again….thank y’all SOOOO much for your love and support during these difficult times. It means the world to us.”
Blythe will be posting what he said was his annual band income during his court hearing yesterday.
Blythe is accused of manslaughter, for allegedly pushing a fan named Daniel N. off the stage. He rushed the stage three times before being tossed off.
The fan allegedly died 14 days after the show from bleeding in the brain. A post-mortem reportedly found that he had not been drunk or under the influence of drugs.
Manslaughter in Prague is punishable by ten years hard time.
The band’s publicist issued a statement Friday stressing that “under no circumstances was there a fight of any kind” during the 2010 concert and added the “incident deals with a fan that three times during the concert jumped the barricade and rushed Randy during the performance. It is alleged that the third time, security was not able to reach him and that Randy pushed him back into the audience where supposedly he fell and hit his head.”
