Ex-Wildhearts Frontman Teams With Napalm Death Bassist

It's Shane!

Shane Embury of Napalm Death and Ginger, the former frontman for the Wildhearts, have joined forces.

They’ve launched a new grind and noise band called Mutation.

The band also boasts Jon Poole of the Cardiacs, Sisters of Mercy’s Chris Catalyst and a dude named Denzel from Young Legionnaire.

The Fall’s Mark E. Smith will also guest on the band’s upcoming trio of albums.

The first — The Frankenstein Effect — is already finished, while the second is almost completed. The band’s third album will be tracked in 2013.

Ginger tells Terrorizer that Mutation “is based on my love of extreme music and not one specific genre. It’s rhythmic, it’s jarring, it’s got more fucked up parts because of the Cardiacs elements, it’s got more out-and-out thrash, it’s a bit mathy in places, it’s very technical…and then it’s just really fuckin’ noisy!”

Consider me incredibly interested in this project.
