Guest Column: Five Albums That Will Change You By Cripple Bastards’ Giulio the Bastard
Most of the nearly 50 column entries we’ve received have been lengthy musings on albums by well-known metal bands: the Metallica and the Maidens. Others have been a touch pithy.
Today’s entry is perhaps the most succinct. Brevity-challenged, Guilio the Bastard is not. In fact, he lives up to his name here, making it hard to even call this a column. But fuck it…his list is solid, and at the end, you’ll see he justifies his choices. Here now is the entry of Giulio the Bastard of Cripple Bastards.
Here is my list of five, in no particular order:
Negazione — Lo Spirito Continua
Napalm Death — From Enslavement to Obliteration
Fear Of God — 21 Song EP
Infest — Slave
Sarcofago — INRI
There is nothing to say about riffs or why this and that. For me, it’s all about the rage and the short, fast, loud intensity these monstrous records unleash.
See? Quick and to the point.
