“Diary Of A Wimpy Kid”
Based on the first illustrated book of the series by Jeff Kinney’s by the same name, which debuted in April 2007. The aches and pains, laughter and adventures of middle school as brought through the eyes of Greg Heffley combined with the drawings and words of his diary.
The story takes place during his seventh grade year as he spends most of his time with his best friend Rowely Jefferson, both trying to survive the scariest time of anyone’s life. Greg frequently gets caught up in escapades at school and with his family, especially with his older brother who gives him bad advice and does more damage than good and his mother who is only trying to be a good mom but actually manages to embarrass him over and over again. In the end advice usually doesn’t help and Greg understands he has to learn the hard way, by experience.
