Stacey Solomon Out of X Factor Final 2009
Essex mum-of-one Stacey Solomon was voted down and out of the final of The X Factor 2009.
Stacey Solomon, from Dagenham, received the lowest amount of votes, placing teen Joe McElderry and Olly Murs into to Sunday’s ultimate show.
The 20-year-old flunked to court the voters with her interpretation of the classical song Feeling Good with Canadian singer Michael Buble.
McElderry and Murs will now vie for a £1m recording contract.
After a execution of Queen’s Who Wants To Live Forever, Solomon was stated by judge Cheryl Cole: “You look incredible and sound incredible”.
Adopting one ofCheryl Cole’s loved sayings, Simon Cowell told the singer: “Stacey, you smashed it”.
On discovering that she was heading home, Solomon gave thanks to supporters and said: “I’m really proud. I came third in The X Factor, that’s really good. I’m really proud.”
Murs, likewise from Essex said it was “so great” and “amazing” to be in the final 2, whilst McElderry said he could not believe it.
George Michael and Robbie Williams likewise performed on the show.
