“The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo”

Based on the first a trilogy of novels by the late Swedish writer Steig Larsson.

16 year-old Harriet Vanger was the niece of Henrick Vanger, an elderly former CEO of a group of companies. Forty years earlier she had disappeared and her body had never been replaced, yet till today her beloved uncle is still determined to find out what really happened to her for he is convinced that she had been murdered. Not only that, Vanger is sure that the killer is a member of his own family. After losing a libel case, the Millennium magazine publisher Mikael Blomkvist is hired by Vanger to solve the murder by telling him he is hired to write about the family chronicles. Blomkvist takes the job and is joined by Lisbeth Salander, a troubled punk computer hacker he accidently runs into. As the two get deeper in to the family story, they manage to connect Harriet’s disappearance to a dark an bloody history of the Vanger family, yet they must also find out just how far they’re willing to go in order to protect their own lives.
