“Robin Hood”

Russell Crowe is an expert archer in the service of king Richard who fought in his army against the French. The film starts at the point of King Richard’s death, when Robin Hood travels to Nottingham only to find a town who suffers of corruption from a tyrannical sheriff and of harsh taxes. The archer soon falls in love with the dubious widow Lady Marian, that is not about to trust the strange advocate who had just arrived from within the forest, planning to save the village from their sad destiny. With his target in mind and with his will to win Lady Marian’s heart he puts together a posse, made of men that their strongest weapon beside their mercenary skills is their lust for life. The goal of this outlaw and the gang with him is to make the upper class retrieve from their injustice towards the weaker, but soon they find out that their bigger mission is to prevent their country from falling in to the trap of civil wars so they can once again return England its glory known to all. This is not the Robin Hood we have all seen before.
