Recruitment Agencies: Finding the right one to work with
It can be a difficult job finding the right recruitment agency to work with. There are many thousands in the UK covering every industry – so how do you find the right one to work with?
How to choose the right Recruitment Agency?
There is no right or wrong answer here – you could work off a referral from a friend or colleague - you might just search in Google and contact the first one you find – perhaps you will use Yellow Pages – Or you cold use a specialist directory, such as Agency Central.
The benefit to using a specialist directory is that, in the case of Agency Central, you are able to find lists of Recruitment Agencies all listed based on the industries and skills that they recruit for. If you decide not to opt for this route, you could be spending hours searching the web, reading websites and looking for snippets of information that give you a clue as to the level of skills they cover, and if they are suitable for you.
Let us look at an example – if you are looking for an Accounting recruitment agency, you would normally start your on-line search with a search engine, such as Google. Once here, you are presented with a list of options – in this case, one of them is the Agency Central directory. You can now choose your industry (Accountancy in this case) and then how you wish to search, by skill or location.
If you choose to search for a skill, an Accounts Assistant for example, you are then presented with a list of recruitment agencies who have listed themselves under this skill so when looking, you can be safe in the knowledge that you will not be wasting your time.
If you choose to search based on Location, London for example, you can quickly find those agencies that cover Accountancy roles in the London area.
Which ever option you choose, you can find the right agency for you in a matter of minutes rather than hours.
