Tiki Barber Is Getting Divorced After 16 Years Of Marriage

After 11 years of marriage and two sons together, the former New York Giants player and “Today” show correspondent Tiki Barber and his wife Ginny are getting divorced.

Although it’s been said that Tiki had left Ginny for the former NBC intern Tracy Lynn Johnson, the former husband and wife say they plan to remain friends and make it as easy as possible for their children. The affair had been going on for a while as Ginny was pregnant, and the former athlete had been spotted with Johnson a couple of times. Although they are divorcing now, they have been living separately for the last few months.

The whole story comes as a surprise after Tikki had expressed his dismay from his father leaving his mother, saying he had never been able to forgive him for that.

Tikki released the news to the press on Tuesday from his Upper West Side home. The former couple started dating 16 years ago, meeting as two students in the University of Virginia. Once a former fashion publicist and now a full-time mom in New York, Ginny will be raising the 6 and 7 year old boys Chason and A.J.
