Lady Gaga Performs In American Idol On Frank Sinatra Week

Four contestants are left on American Idol after last night’s elimination, Wednesday, May 5.

This week’s theme on the show was Frank Sinatra Week, and his famous songs were sung by the five remaining candidates. After they each gave their shows, including “When I Was 17” and “The Lady Is A Tramp”, it was decided that Aaron Kelly, the 17-year-old is to be eliminated. The high school student looked like he was about to burst into tears after he was voted off, and Big Mike tried to console him with a big hug and some prep talk, which he whispered into his ear. For his last performance, Kelly sang “Fly Me To The Moon”. After this elimination we are left with Michael,Lee, Crystal and Casey (who was surprisingly named safe earlier on the show) to bring us to the final.

The two guest performances were of the stunning Lady Gaga, who never fails to astonish with her extravaganza performances. She sang “Alejandro” along with her piano and an army of men dancers, dressed appropriately to Gaga’s style.

Harry Connick Jr., who was the contestants’ mentor of the week came up next and performed “And I Love Her”, receiving a standing applause despite his poor singing.
