Former NFL Player Norman Hand Died At The Age Of 37
Former NFL defensive tackle Norman Hand, died Friday, May 14, at the age of 37.
Apparently, Hand had collapsed at his home in Walterboro, South Carolina on Friday early noon, and passed away early after noon in the hospital. According to his family’s statement, who were next to him when he died, Hand had arrived at the hospital while he was unresponsive and the resuscitation efforts were not successful. The cause of death is not yet known, and an autopsy is planned to be performed Today, Saturday.
Norman Hand was born and raised in Walterboro, and while attending Ole Miss College in 1995, he was picked out by the Miami Dolphins in the fifth round of the draft. After one season with the Dolphins, he carried on playing with the New York Giants, the San Diego Chargers, the New Orleans Saints and the Seattle Seahawks.
Norman Hand’s NFL career lasted for nearly a decade and he retired from American football back in 2004. He is survived by his wife and his two children.
