Free iPhone Apps: Shazam App Review
Now, a lot of you will probably have seen the Shazam service advertised on TV. I certainly have and as soon as I saw it I had to give it a go. The idea of the service is that it can identify a song from listening to it. This is great if you have heard a song on the radio or on TV and you just cannot remember the name of it. Usually, you use the service by calling a number on your mobile phone, but now, with the Shazam app for the iPhone you will no longer need to do this.
The app is very simple to use and as soon as you launch the app you will be presented with a screen of the songs that you have tagged. Don’t worry if this is your first time using the app, we’ll get to this later. All you need to do to start using the app is press the tag now button and then hold you phone out to a piece of music. The app will listen to the tune for a few seconds and hopefull after that time it will analyse the tune and tell you the name of the track, the artist and much more. We have used the app a few times ourselves and it seems very accurate for nearly all of the songs we have tried.
Once it has identified the song for you, it will then give you the option to buy the song from the iTunes music store with just one click. This is a great little feature and will allow you to get the song as quickly as possible.
Overall, this is a great little app and as it is free to download from the app store, we recommend that you all go and download it right now and begin having fun.
