Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins have split up

People magazine is covering that one of Hollywood’s most lasting kinships has finished. Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins have split up after more than 2 decades together, reported to a Sarandon rep sourced by People.

Of concern is that this news is obviously long in coming. The rep reports that the couple really separated during the summer.

Sarandon and Robbins had been together since 1988 after coming together whilst filming “Bull Durham.” The New York City-based couple have 2 now-college-age sons, Jack Henry and Miles Guthrie. Sarandon and Robbins made a lot of appearances together to back up worldwide social and governmental causes.

If People’s coverage checks out, this marks one of 2 outstanding Hollywood couples that had long stood as symbolisations of non-marriage kinships bearing the test of time. The other is Goldie Hawn’s relationship with actor Kurt Russell.

Hawn and Russell have been together since 1983, after meeting again on the set of “Swing Shift.” The two had previously acted together whilst filming 1968’s “The One and Only, Genuine, Original Family Band.”
