What happened aboard the Marmara ship? Why did violence erupt after Israeli Commandos stormed the ship? what led to the death of 10 of the protesters?

Fresh evidence of the violent events are now coming out, after the six ships of the Gaza Flotilla have arrived in the Ashdod Port. Journalists and Israeli soldiers are now reporting on the events, and new video footage is expected shortly.

One of the most interesting reports comes from Ron Ben Yishai, the highly esteemed Israeli war correspondent. In an article Published on ynetnews.com, Ben Yishai describes how the activists on the ship ambushed the commandos.

ben Yishai says the Israeli commandos slid down from a helicopter, armed with paint guns, because they did not expect violent resistince. The soldiers were surprisd by dozens of activists, armed with iron rods, clubs, and slingshots with glass marbles.
The protesters attacked the soldier as they disembarked, grabbed them one by one and beat them. The angry protesters also threw one soldier down to a lower deck, and he was severely injured. At some point some commandoes pulled out pistoles and fired shots to the attackers legs in order to defend themselves. they were surprised to see peace activists fire back.
