iPhone 4 Sales Hit Record Amounts
The new iPhone 4 device from Apple has reached a massive amount of sales and has even broken Apples records for their previous versions of the iPhone device. The iPhone 4, which was released on the 24th June in most countries around the world, has actually topped 1.7 million sales in just 3 days.
The new device is the latest iPhone to be released by Apple and it has some pretty great new features such as Facetime (Apples version of video calling) and their so called Retina display, which is the most high quality display that has ever been seen on any mobile phone. The release saw millions of people literally going crazy to get their hands on one of the devices and people were reported to have been queuing for hours outside hundreds of Apple stores around the world in order to get their hands on one of the devices.
The CEO of Apple, Steve Jobs, said that this was the most successful product launch in Apples history and that he is extremely proud of the new device. It seems that for Apple,. The problem isn’t trying to find enough customers to buy their products, but it’s making enough of them to keep up with the demand of the customers. In a recent statement from Steve Jobs, he explained that he was extremely proud of the launch but he also apologised for those that were didn’t manage to get their hands on them.
The iPhone 4 smartphone was also available to pre-order from June 15th both online and in Apple stores. This event saw millions op people flocking to Apples website in order to pre-order the device. In fact, it actually caused Apples website to go offline for a while as too many people were visiting the website all at once trying to get their hands on the iPhone 4 smartphone.
This huge success of the iPhone has even surpassed the sales for the iPad device which was released around a month earlier on May 28th 2010 and it seems that people just can’t get enough of Apple products these days. The phone is currently only available in black for some reason but the much loved white version of the phone is set to be released later this year, where we will probably see a similar amount of people trying to get their hands on the device.
