If I had to sum it up in one word right now, “amazing!”. This would appear to be an increase in confidence and an upturn in market conditions. With the return of more people starting to spend again, retailers are seeing the need for more staff in a wide range of retail roles.

Starting his retail career as a trolley boy, Shane worked his way up the ladder and within a few years was the manager of a large supermarket.

Don’t get me wrong, these opportunities don’t just land in your lap – you have to get up and go after them. If a new role arises within a store, don’t be afraid to go for it. If nothing else, the experience in the interview will be very good for you, even if you are unsuccessful the first time. However, persevere and you can achieve amazing things.
