Petplan considering affiliate marketing options after DGM enters administration

Petplan pet insurance is allegedly considering new affiliate network partners after DGM announced they were going into administration last week.

Deal Group Media (DGM) has been a pioneer of affiliate and performance marketing since its launch in 1999. Last week, the company, which currently employs approximately 50 UK staff, entered into administration after struggling to cope with the aftermath of the recession. Trevor John Binyon and Steven John Parker from RSM Tenon Recovery have been named joint administrators. What’s to be clarified is that DGM is still trading at present.

However, it has left hundreds of affiliated publishers in the dark over their commission payment but also merchants and advertisers looking to other networks to move their business to.

Petplan has been running its affiliate programme for its cat, dog and horse insurance products with DGM for several years and even moved it exclusively to the reputable network last year after cancelling its agreement with Buy.At. They’re now looking for another partner, with Affiliate Window, Buy.At and Online Media Group being favourites.
