explosions heard in the city of Gaza

Breaking news: A few large explosions where heard in the city of Gaza, at midnight tonight – according to sources in the Gaza strip.

Earlier today 10 rockets and mortar shells, that were fired from the Gaza strip, hit the western Negev region in Israel.

Yesterday Israel announced that it’s new rocket interception system, called “Iron Dome”, would become operational in mid 2010, after it successfully passed all tests.
