Do You Love Your iPhone 4?
Whether you hate or love an iPhone 4, there is a definite pattern to the relationship people have with this smartphone. You will probably be recognizing some of those patterns. Read here to find out what people are experiencing with their love-hate relationship with their Apple iPhone 4.
When you think of the iPhone 4 you probably first think about the screen. The screen was dubiously called the “Retina” display. This was reportedly because it was so clear the human eye was not supposed to be able to see added clarity. Is the human eye that limited ? Much of the world would say “yes”. Therefore, the crystal clear clarity makes the display on the iPhone 4 the first thing people love about the iPhone 4.
The second is the camera. Why is that the second thing people love about their iPhone 4 ? Perhaps because it is now creating high definition videos. If you just want a camera, you can buy one with a lot more megapixels than the five megapixels you get with an iPhone 4. The HTC Evo has a camera with eight megapixels. But this is an Apple product. The name plus the extra tag of “high definition” mesmerizes and hypnotizes enough people to be impressive.
The user interface is the next thing people love about their iPhone 4. It is a new system from Apple called “iOS4″. It supports multi tasking, but in a different way than other systems. The iOS4 actually stops applications from running when they are not selected. This is a superior way to save battery life and processor power that other operating systems have yet to implement. Good on Apple. Their users love it too.
So, what do iPhone users hate about their smartphone ? The first thing they hate is that they are chained to using just one carrier. AT&T is the only carrier in the United States that can give calls to a locked iphone 4. It can of course be unlocked to run on other carriers, but for the record, this is the first thing that ticks off the iPhone 4 buyer. Liberty is a powerful call for most.
The second item that iPhone 4 users hate about their device is the antenna problem. This is one hundred percent understandable. When you buy an upscale, popular smartphone, you expect it to work. You expect the maker to understand the relationship between radio engineering principles and transmission of a signal. All that can really be said about this one is a big; “Oooops !”. This is more hard feelings toward Apple, but is almost expectable these days. Their customers are patient people.
The third biggest peeve that iPhone 4 users have against their electronic wizard is the AT&T network itself. What can you say ? Two negatives against the very same point ? This will need to get changed soon or the Apple phone lines will be bogged down with the same complaints. Apple should give people a choice. If the carrier they are forced to use is not all that great, their anger is legitimate.
The battery power is improved on the iPhone 4 and many buyers love this aspect also. With the antennagate debacle and the honest capitulation from Apple, the dialogue has been interesting in the past months. No doubt next year will be more of the same.
