“Up In The Air”

George Clooney as Ryan Bingham, a happy airborne modern business traveler with no strings attaching him to the ground, who has to face the possible meaning of making a home.

Ryan carries a content life in his one –wheel away case. His job is to fire people and traveling around the US in order to pay these “visits” to the soon to be unemployed is an integral part it. During the time he has collected the benefits included, and among them is an elite membership in every loyalty program existing. Having so, he is about to fulfill his lifetime goal of obtaining 10 million frequent flier miles. In addition, he has just met the frequent-traveler woman of his dreams (Vera Farmiga, The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas). All is going well for Ryan when his boss (Jason Bateman, Juno) is influenced by Natalie, the new efficiency expert he has hired (Anna Kendrick, The Twilight Saga: New Moon). Her latest development threatens Ryan’s position as it’s a method of video conference which allows to fire people without needing to do so physically face to face.

Faced with the prospect of losing his own job ,grounded and therefore having his cherished way of life threatened, he is determined to show Natalie how wrong she is, and decides to take her on one of his firing expeditions. As Natalie starts to understand the logic of the need of human contact, Ryan starts contemplating about his life and questions the good of it.
