Apple iPhone 4S is best selling iPhone for Apple

Apple’s iPhone 4S device was only released a few months ago back in October of 2011 but it has already become the best selling iPhone device that Apple offers. The iPhone 4S device offers features including the hugely popular Siri feature and a survey by CIRP has now revealed that 89 percent of the people that are purchasing an iPhone are opting for the iPhone 4S.

Apple has been offering the iPhone 4 and iPhone 3Gs devices at heavily reduced prices but this isn’t stopping people from opting for the latest iPhone 4S device according to the survey. The iPhone 3GS is actually available for free on a monthly contract yet still, most people are opting for the iPhone 4S device.

Apple has recently announced that they shifted 37 million units of their iPhone devices in the fourth quarter of 2011 which is a staggering amount. The survey that was conducted found that not only were people opting for the iPhone 4S device, but many of them were also going for the moist expensive 64GB version that retails for £699 in the UK. It was found that 21 percent of people chose this model.

Apple iOS 5.0.1 update makes Siri port possible for iPhone 4

Apple have said since the release of their iPhone 4S device a few months ago that they would not be making the Siri function that has been the talk of the Smartphone world available on the iPhone 4 device. Although this is still the case, it is said that in the latest iOS 5.0.1 update which is available for both the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S devices, Apple has included an encryption key that will allow consumers to browse the iPhone 4 ‘s files on their PC’s and gain access to the Siri files.

It is thought that this huge security hole in the iOS operating system will allow hackers to legally gain access to the Siri files without piracy. This will make a Siri port to the iPhone 4 legal and possible. Many hackers have been left baffled as to why Apple has left this security flaw in the OS as they have previously said that they would never make the Siri feature available on the iPhone 4.

There is now expected to be development in regards to Siri from third party groups and developers.

Apple iPhone 4 Self-Combusts on Plane

Apple’s iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S devices are some of the most must have gadgets this Christmas but now, many people are becoming worried about the safety of the phone after reports that it actually self combusted whilst on a plane. It is said that an iPhone 4 device actually started to glow red and let off smoke whilst on board an Australian flight. Flight attendants had to use fire extinguishers to make sure that the passengers were safe.

It is said that none of the passengers on board the plane were hurt from the event but it is also not known what caused the problem. Witnesses on board the plane have described the phone as simply self combusting. Images of the phone show that the plastic has been burned and the screen cracked. It is thought that this could have been caused by a problem with the battery. It is unknown at this time whether the phone was an iPhone 4 or iPhone 4S device.

A couple of years ago, there were reports of many iPhones simply exploding without warning although Apple are said to have solved this problem a long time ago.

Apple iPhone 4S sees Italy Launch

Samsung have been filing lawsuits against Apple since the release of the Apple iPhone 4S a few weeks ago and they have been trying to get the phones release postponed in many other countries around Europe including Italy. It is thought that Samsung took this move because of the previous lawsuit that was filed against them by Apple that was of a similar nature. However, despite Samsung claiming that the iPhone 4S breaches their copyrights, the phone launch has gone ahead in Italy and many other countries.

According to the reports, the Italian judge that was in charge of the ruling for the case has said that he will not give a verdict until well after the phone has launched in Italy. There has been another hearing planned for mid December which has been put in place to allow Samsung to have sufficient time to come up with more evidence for the case. Samsung were previously filed against by Apple who claimed that their Samsung Galaxy Devices breached their own patents. This has led to numerous bans of their products.

Apple will sell millions of the iPhone 4S devices in Italy whilst Samsung gather their evidence it is thought.

The Apple iPhone 4S is the latest invention that has been released within the last few weeks by Apple and it contains one feature that it the talk of the town in the technology world. This is the feature that Apple has named Siri. Basically, this allows you to use natural language in order to speak to your phone and get it to do tasks but unfortunately, this isn’t available for iPhone 4 users. However, many users of the iPhone 4 have found other alternatives to purchasing the new phone.

One of the alternatives out there is to actually jailbreak your iPhone 4. This is a process that is not recommended by Apple but if you do this, you will actually be able to get Siri on your iPhone 4. There are a number of other alternatives out there however without having to jailbreak your phone and one of these is to use free apps. There are many similar free apps out there including Dragon Dictation and many others. This is available for free and many Apple iPhone 4 users have found it a great alternative to Siri.

Apple’s iPhone 4S device was unveiled by the company last week and now, it is available for pre-order all around the world. The phone is due to be released on Friday and this means a few neat things if you aren’t too fussy about the latest handset. If you are just looking to get your hands on an iPhone 4 or a 3GS, which are two of the older generations of the iPhone, then now you can get one a lot cheaper than before.

Because all of the focus is on the iPhone 4S, many of the networks as well as Apple themselves have reduced the price of the iPhone 4 and the 3GS meaning that on some contracts, you can actually get it free of charge. If you are looking to get it even cheaper, then EBay is a good place to look as many people will be looking to get rid of their existing handsets in favour of the iPhone 4S.

The iPhone 4 and 3GS are great phones, it’s just that they have now been succeeded by the iPhone 4S so people have lost interest.

Apple iPhone 5 to be much thinner and possibly wider

Apple’s iPhone 5 is subject to many internet rumours at the moment as fans of the company are trying to figure out exactly what Apple will have in store for us with the new phone. Currently, it is thought that the phone will actually be thinner and wider than the current iPhone 4 device as there have been cases leaked that suggest this.

Cases that have been leaked over the last few months for the phone have suggested that it will actually be as thin as the iPod Touch currently is which is a huge reduction in the bulk of the phone. As well as this, it is rumoured that the phone could be a little wider than the current iPhone 4 which could mean that it will have a slightly larger screen size. Rumours are also currently saying that the volume and mute buttons could have been moved to the opposite side of the phone for an unknown reason.

Apple is expected to unveil the phone within the next month so we won’t have to wait too long to find out how true these rumours are.

Small screens and metal back expected for Apple iPhone 5

The release of the Apple iPhone 5 is getting closer each day and this means that there are constantly new rumours as to the design and specifications of the phone appearing online. It has previously been rumoured that the iPhone 5 will have a larger screen than the iPhone 4 but now, it has been rumoured that the screen size will not differ much at all.

According to the rumours that have been published on the Digitimes website, the iPhone 5 will have a similar sized screen to the iPhone 4 rather than the previously rumoured larger screen. The iPhone 4 currently has a screen size of 3.5 inches and it is expected that the iPhone 5 will feature either a 3.5 inch screen or 3.7 inch screen. Digitimes rumours are usually quite accurate when it comes to Apple so we expect that this is probably a correct rumour.

As well as this, the iPhone 5 has now been rumoured to have a metal back rather than the glass back that we saw on the iPhone 4. There is very little evidence to back this rumour up however so we will have to wait and see.

Apple is the company behind the popular iPhone Smartphone device which has already been released in many different variants over the years. In order to keep up with the ever changing market, Apple s expected to release the next generation version of the phone in October of this year which will be named the iPhone 5 according to the rumours. Now, it is thought that Apple has actually started to film the commercials for the phone, despite the release date being at least a month away.

Apple are well known for filming the commercials to their products quite a long period of time before they are actually released and they filmed the iPhone 4 commercial a total of four weeks before the release date. The rumour comes from an online source which claims that Apple have contracted in a company that they have previously worked with; TBWAChiaDay to craft the iPhone 5’s ad campaign.

Apple may also be filming the iPhone 4GS ad campaign as there is a rumour that this product will be released alongside the iPhone 5 in October but this rumour is being questioned.
