<p>â€œNineâ€ has glamor. Rome appears incredible, equally does Daniel Day-Lewis. But there is no meaning below the glossiness. For an homage to director Federico Fellini, who made such psychologically intricate and poetical movies, it is astonishingly bland.</p>
<p>Day-Lewis plays Guido Contini, a movie maker who&#8217;s creatively blocked. Disturbed, he flirts with his fancy woman (Penelope Cruz), assures his wife (Marion Cotillard), appeases his producer (Ricky Tognazzi) and searches inspiration from his muse (Nicole Kidman).</p>
